yeah i know what you are saying because i would write and think like that too... but think of it this way... you believe in a creator right? then that creator must be infinite to have the ability to create such intricate things like humans right? God is explained as infinite in the bible...so one answer would be that God is God and that he created us. That would mean he gave us life and means to support ourselves, so the least we can do is give that back in 10% of what we make... and yes i know the church is hypocritical, but they are not who we should look to as an example, but look to God as the example and live off of him... yea i agree fuck a mediator... go to him yourself...
i honestly agree with you, i believe in god for sure, and i know he created humans. i even believe in the bible, i just think that corrupt men have warped alot in the millions of years its been around. i even agree with the 10 percent thing, but i think god is really just sayin to set aside some money for uses that glorify him, not nessacarily giving to a church. i think church's make you think that the only donation to god is through them. ya kno what im sayin?
yeah i guess so, but didn't God establish the church? so if he established it shouldn't we abide by it like we have to abide by taxes? How then can they support themselves if the people that utilize it don't help it financially? Yea i agree that people have corrupted the church and that some ministers try to get the money and just pocket it for themselves so it is hard to decipher the real from the fake... i think that the 10% is just the mininmum... others might argue that well i can give to charity and that can be my tithe but that should be in addition to tithing to the church... i believe that...i knkow i don't do the extra bit, but i do tithe off of my paycheck and even when i get money for my birthday i do tha same, because i can do so and i know the pastor is not going to take the money even though he has his faults.
