I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. But here's a thought:

Before I was married I had 5 names. Is that interesting?
If you could own any exotic animal what would it be and why?

If I could own any exotic animal, I would probably own an otter. I think they're adorable, and they're so playful, and they seem like they'd make really fun pets?

I'm so very late to this meme, I don't even know if it's still appropriate for me to comment. But I feel sad at the idea of creeping out again, so here I am :)
I'm Eléonore. I'm from France and I am very in love with Antonin Artaud (see icon). I've been terribly bad at livejournal lately because real life has been a brat and also I fail at multitasking. But I hope that now that I seem to have it under control again, we'll get to know each other better!
Can I call you Cate? :D

There is no such thing as being too late to comment. *g*
I am not from France. But I took five years of French, at school, and retained very little of it. I can occasionally puzzle out the gist of things that are written in French, and I can count to 100. Not that either of those things comes up all that often....
I hope that now that I seem to have it under control again, we'll get to know each other better!
I hope so too! I've also been fairly LJ negligent recently, but I'm trying to stay on top of things, so hopefully I will.
You can absolutely call me Cate!

Counting is always of importance /nods
And I'd say that is excellent news, as I tend to have the abnoxious habit of quoting French things everywhere! :)

Oh! Something that has amused me for years, that will probably also amuse you: There is a gated community near where I grew up, and it's also near some horse farms. The name of the suburb is on the gate, along with a brass horse head. So I'm pretty sure they intended to name the suburb something to do with horses, and decided to fancy it up by making it French. But I guess Cheval wasn't fancy enough so they went with Chevaux. Except no one double checked the spelling and what they actually ended up with was a gated community named Cheveux.
