When is it a good time?
We set out merrily
thuggin'
together
and stop for lunch.
We arrive at Blackjack Springs Wilderness Area,
suit up
our gear,
and head in.
On our way to find a campsite, we see, among other things, froggies!
We set up camp,
get ready for dinner,
and, shortly thereafter, call it a day.
T builds one mean tripod;
it's so good a toad decides to make a home in the ashes!
We admire
lots of the local
insects
a lot.
The bugs look better than our mac...
Pretty flowers line the
moss-blanketed forest trails.
A river winds to
a crystal-clear, glassy lake, untouched by anything motorized or mechanical.
Discovering new things
takes a lot of energy.
Many frogs keep us company most evenings.
We hike some more,
stop near some remnants from
an abandoned cabin,
and find a wetland at the end of the marked trails.
Grizzly men needn't shave!
We don't sleep well because of the rain on night #4,
but we continue forward.
We cross a lake
using a bridge.
In Michigan, Everyone's Cat loves men - particularly men's feet.
T's grandpa takes us on a boat ride and we are
raided by pirates!!
Luckily, T's grandparents win it all back playing Rummikub.
On the ride home, my cold gets the best of the steering wheel.
We stop by a beach on Lake Michigan,
whose waters are rather chilly.
However, we leave very happy
and very much in love.
It's always a good time! =]
