I have my degree certificate! It’s very plain and boring, I was quite disappointed. I wasn’t expecting it to be gold plated or anything, but it just seems a little crap for three years of bloody hard work. You can really see how easy it must be for people to fake the certificate too

We never shook hands with anyone, it was only PhD students that got that honour, we had to doff! Which means you have to touch your hat thing.. very embarrassing. In the photo afterwards they handed out a fake scroll to everyone. I think the actual degree certificate came in the post afterwards!

Oh gosh, I wonder if I have to doff then?! I'm not excited anymore, I'm scared!
Did you order your gown online? I have to get my head measured :P

I dont know if its a standard thing or not, but both unis in Cardiff do it. It wasnt that bad though :)
I cant remember where I ordered my gown, I think it was online yeah.. and then I picked it up on the day. I think mine was all black with a green scarf type thing, what is yours like? :) Cambridge get fur!

Mines black with a red scarf type thing I think.
Did you have to measure your head? They want the exact measurement!
