So I just took the train from Montreal to Quebec, my first train, and it's been snowing since this morning.. now I am on the 12th floor of the Hilton looking out of a huge window onto Old MontrealQuebec except I can't really see it because it's dark, snowy and foggy

You took the train! That's pretty awesome, and now I am curious to know what you think. Would it be a mode of transport you'd use without reservation in the future?

And because Old Montreal is about 225 km over the horizon? 8-D My French cousin was thrilled with Quebec city around the Chateau Frontenac. I found that surprising since France is littered with old towns and architecture, older than Quebec city.

Quebec City is awesome! I haven't been in about 4 or 5 years, but I want to go back soon.

I'm a big fan of Via myself. I like taking the train to Montreal or Toronto so I don't have to drive downtown in those cities.
