livejournal configuration
I'm new to LJ, and haven't had time to explore the configuration options much. Does anyone have recommendations for configuration items to change? There was something about an S1 or S2 style system, though I don't know what the differences are.

S2 is very complicated and basically a programming language.
S1 is much simpler, and more of a template-like affair.
I've never bothered to learn S2. But I would like to someday. There are some things I'd like to do with the style of my LJ.
