Today, I'm not going to whine about my life.  I'm not going to agonize over the exhausting job or the the paycheck that won't strech far enough or the stupid chronic health thing that won't leave me alone.  I'm taking a day off from worrying about the future.  Today, I'm going to talk about Drake & Josh--and specifically, the episode Josh Runs Into ( Read more... )

Re: the lack of police in Oprah. The police seemed to catch up with Josh with a vengeance in MCDJ and completely overstep their bounds. Even Craig nearly got arrested. Dan S. must have a love-hate relationship with "cops!" But why on Earth would Josh go to a federal prison and be held on a charge of disrupting a party? And they would never put a teen alone in a cell overnight with a man the size and strength of Bludge - unless Dan was intentionally going for that very sick innuendo ( ... )

Oh yes, it disturbed me too that they tossed Josh in the cell with a guy who has a rep for beating up other prisioners...and it annoys me even worse that Drake asks Bludge (who he has met all of 20 seconds before) to help him convince Josh to help him. Egad.

I don't mine their kiddie bickering...it can be rather funny. I can never watch that wrestling match in Megan's Revenge without laughing. Most guys get mad and punch each other--these two roll around like puppies and whack each other with pillows!

Just thought of another lovely Southern sounding bit from Josh--when they are talking about the sheep to their parents and Josh says "That do (does? can't remember) seem unlikely." 'Unlikely' just drips with Souther accent. :)

Always did wonder how Megan explained all those charges on that credit card...managed to blame it on her brothers, no doubt.

When Josh is serving the couple breakfast (D/J Inn), he sounds Southern "Honey!" and often when he refers to women as "Ma'am!" We know Grammy's a New Yorker, but perhaps Josh's missing mom or a favorite babysitter were Southern!

I love it when they fight - the way they wholeheartedly tackle each other (even if it's stunt doubles sometimes!). Josh almosts seems to be suppressing a smile or a laugh before they get ready to do those sequences, like they're certainly having fun with it (despite the bruises). As for the whacking, it's actually Drake who gets in more spanks over the series!
