What a year...

Boy, this journal is just sparkling with upbeatness!  I'm here to report that last week I ( and four other coworkers) were informed that they were moving all the clerical work to Wisconsin, and hey--we're all going to be unemployed as of February 14th next year!  (Happy early birthday to me, eh?)  I have no idea what I'm going to do...after I panic ( Read more... )

Aw, sorry to hear about your job. On an upbeat note, at least you have a while to look for a new one?!

Have to agree, The Dance Contest was definitely a cockle-warmer! I had surgery on 9/18 and recovery is not as I expected, so I'm bumming about that.

Anyway, hope you 'njoy your vay-kay! Saw you on the OJPMB - I'm hopin it will give me the dutch courage to post. I've just been a lurker 4ever. There's lapses in the "transcript" of The View that I'm itching to correct.

I'm such a clueless wonder when it comes to LiveJournal...I don't even know if I'm doing this reply right...who knows what black hole I might be sending it down? It's a bit more vague than some boards I post to--on those, you can tell exactly who is getting the message! I've got to admit, it took me a few seconds to figure out what OJPMB was *grin*...I boggle at the idea anyone would rather *not* have a season four of D&J. Unreal.

Sorry to hear your recovery has been slow...I've been there myself. I hope you are feeling much better *very* soon!

Well, the Catch-22 is that I can't look for a job because I have to go to my present one until my termination date *argh* in order to get severence pay. Ah well...we'll see what happens!

I saw your comment at http://drakexjosh.livejournal.com/188668.html about wanting to make vids but not knowing how. So I thought I'd try offering some hints if you'd like and still need it (I love helping other fans ;D)... If you have WinXP on your computer, you would already have included with it, the video editor Windows Movie Maker (Start ~> Programs ~> Accessories ~> somewhere in there). So next is getting your source, ie what you are gonna make the vids from; most ppl either download the episodes or rip them from their own dvds. I have a guide for the latter (that's not up currently cuz my site is down but will be back up soon), and for the first, not sure about where to dL Drake & Josh eps specifically (tho I must find that soon cuz being without cable, I've never known about the show until just recently LOL and omg, it seems awesome) but usually if you spend some time searching thru Google and such, most shows have epsharing forums and communities, and if all else ( ... )

Thanks for all the info--much appreciated! I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you--real life has been hectic as of late. I do have WinXP and the MovieMaker--just never had time to study it! I'll be checking it out shortly...

Thanks again!

No problem, take as long as you need ;P I found tvrips of the eps (complete with annoying channel tags, wonky 23fps framerate lol, and lack of credit scenes) so after I convert them I'll be uploading them to my big ep-sharing post in my LJ ;D I had a week-long marathon of watching them all, and omg.. more hooked than ever now LOL
