it looks as though you have two options: say no, you cant do both by tomorrow and then possibly feel bad even though it isn't your fault, or kill yourself trying to do both and all your life stuff, then feel bad because one doesn't come out looking as well as you planned because it was a crunch job

i'd say i couldnt do both, i didnt have enough time/warning and i didnt want one to come out less than par. i work 4p-11p and thus am no real help at all

Oh the reasons why I don't take comissions; people who don't sew just have no idea how LONG it takes to make something. Especially a body suit. X.x Yeah, just no. I'd tell him you can get one done (if you want to do any) and say he needs to pick which one he would rather have done. And if he picks Mr. Incredible, inform him that he didn't pick the best matierials so the costume might not turn out as ideal as he would like it to be.

Each costume is for a different person, babycakes. ^_^

But I told Chad that the sweatpants thing was the best Elko could cough up but would not be very good unless I took it into fit him, which would take a lot of effort.

At some point you have to say, "I need 6 to 8 eight weeks warning for quality work."

None of this, "it's october".. or even "it's a week from halloween, please make me a costume".

That is why I try and find out as long before a con as I can what costumes I want to make, and what costumes I think I'm making for Lacey. If, I'm the one making the costume for Lacey.

Also, another way to scare off Halloween costumes is to give them an acturate price estimate. I mean, done right, Squall is not cheap. Mr. Incredible is not cheap. So tell them an acurate price quote.

*shrug* Sorry I'm not much help, but I can certainly spew bad advice.

No, you're right. Chad had no reason to want one so close to Halloween. But Michael genuinely thought he could borrow my Squall so he didn't think anything had to be made. He thought I was bigger in person, apparantly. oO;;
