Today I met a person who doesn't believe in human-created global warming. Fair enough, everyone should question what they hear, but she was more like "I don't believe in it because I don't care. I believe in the Bible." ?????? Even the pope, the conservativest of the conservative tells his followers to take care of God's creation and wants to make ( Read more... )

Nuclear power freaks me out a little. New Zealand has been nuke free since 1987.

“There is only one thing more dangerous than being attacked by nuclear weapons and that is being protected by them.” - says our Prime Minister at the time.

Thats right, I researched :)

Yeah, it's scary stuff. Norway is against nuclear power, but I don't know how it will evolve. People seem more and more positive to for example thorium. At the moment, it's just as bad as uranium, when you think about how much damage it can make if there's an accident.

"Kanske är jag kär i deg" is a great name :D Is it Jens Lekmann? If you want more swedish goodies, you should listen to Dungen, if you haven't already. Especially their old stuff!

Some people actually bring nothing to the table. Their existence is totally worthless, they're complete wastes of perfectly good sperm and eggs, and their presence on this Earth will do more harm than good. Unfortunately, since I believe in free speech, I stop short of saying they shouldn't be allowed to open their mouths and influence other equally worthless people, but I will say that I really wish they wouldn't. Unfortunately, those tend to be the types of people who get into conservative politics and pollute the collective consciousness with mountains of strong, but poorly thought out positions on things they don't understand and probably prefer not to think about, in the first place. That's why we have things like pro-lifers, young earth creationists, holocaust deniers, and the newest breed of conservative idiots, people who think global warming is some kind of scam perpetrated by the left to make people spend money and not vote for them ( ... )

Actually, this is a pretty nice person, and this one time it's good to not care about politics, because she will never talk about any global issues and influence anyone to the worse, nor will she join mean politicians in their fight for privatizing the earth.
By the way! Is it true that you can get prisoned for life for sodomy in Idaho?

Not anymore.

It wouldn't surprise me if a law like that is on the books, but it probably hasn't been enforced anytime recently.

Considering I know for a fact that gay sex is quite common in Boise, I'd say sodomy is more or less safe here.

Human-made global warming is not a lie, but what Al Gore says in "An Inconvenient Truth" is pure bullshit. That movie IS propaganda, and
should not be shown in any schools.

Think about it;
Before his movie, Al Gore was the "Bush" of the Democrats. He just drove around in his fancy car with his hot wife, saying stupid things to the media and playing golf.
Then, all of a sudden, he develops av very righeous sense of global awareness, right at the same time as he starts a company that sells CLIMATE QUOTAS.

I mean, like, oh my god.

And, carbon dioxide is a mild global warming gas compared to all the other things we let out - still, co2 seems to be the main focus everywhere, as if people have forgotten methane and all those other gases I can neither pronounce or spell. I'm not saying we should let out co2, I'm just saying we should deal with the greater of two evils, in stead of the lesser.

My message is this; You can't trust anything, so you have to see everything and make up your mind afterwards.

AND: GO POPE!!!: D
