Ipod Help?

I have a question and wasn't sure if anyone could answer it for me. I recently got my computer back from being fixed and I want to be able to use itunes again. My only problem is that I will have to get rid of all the songs on my ipod in order to start using it and sync it. I have 3000+ songs and I don't want to have to go through the hassle of

umm, i think that you can manually sync your songs, so it won't delete your music right?

Hey thanks for the help! I actually found my extrenal harddrive so I had all my songs, my only problem now is that my iPod is being a DavidBeckham and is being all "corrupted" and shit so I think I have to get a new one :)
