USA vs TURKEY: PHILLY IS INCREDIBLE.

USA vs TURKEY TRIP
Wah, so I was going to save this for tomorrow by I honestly have nothing better to do at the moment, so I decided I would do it right now instead. Is that alright with you guys? Well, tough titty since you don't have a choice.

So! As some of you may know, I went to Philadelphia this weekend for the USA VS TURKEY MATCH. DUN DUN DUN. WHAT AMAZINGNESS. I'm going to skip everything leading up to Saturday because it's so not worth hearing me whine and complain about all the driving we had to do just to get from south-west Ohio to south-east Pennsylvania.

GETTING INTO PHILLY: That was a bit much. It was really exciting though. As we were on the high way we were getting close to our exit and we're slowly moving because it is getting so clustered, then all this honking goes on and cars fly by and people have Turkish flags hanging out their windows cheering. And JUST as we are ready to get onto the ramp to enter Philly, THE COP PULLS IN FRONT OF US AND TELLS US TO GO TO THE NEXT ONE. After an hour of waiting this blasphemy happens. After that it's all blah blah blah and we're trying to find somewhere to park.

IN PHILLY: I swear, one thing I love most about games is ALL THE PEOPLE. It's what I love about footy games, baseball games, buckeye games, etc, all the people on the streets tailgating, cheering, drinking. EEEEEEP. And,...the fact that there were all those people there for a soccer game makes me heart skip a beat. Fucking say America doesn't love football...we do, you just don't see the fans :)

I just, I don't think I can even properly explain myself right now and how excited I was. It wasn't my fist big soccer game (though it was my first NT game (the first big game being the RM game last summer in DC)), but I was still just as nervous because I had butterflies roaming around in my stomach. People: people are the most fascinating thing in life. People are what I live and breath for. Culture, language, sport, people. I just, I can't get over how emotional people make me, just how different we all are and yet still the same. It's like seeing your true love and knowing it's going to be there forever because everyone in the world is like that.

-of course I don't have anything USA, so I wore my Spain jersey-

At the merch stand I was waiting for Rebecca to by her stuff, so I stood outside the tent and this guy was watcing me a bit as he talked to someone he knew, and after is friend or whoever left he stood there for another moment before taking a step forward and going "are you from Spain?" I had to just blink at him because:
1) HE WAS HOT AS HELL
2) HE WAS TALKING TO ME WHILE BEING HOT AS HELL
3) HE THOUGHT I WAS SPANISH
4)HE WAS HOT AS HELL

Hahaa, I mean, like, sure I was wearing my Spain Jersey, but it's not like I'm the only American in America with a Spanish jersey or at the game with a Spain jersey, so it's saying something that he even asked. So apparently, I look Spanish. YES ONE STEP CLOSER TO MARRYING CESC FABREGAS/SERGIO RAMOS/BOJAN KRKIC. He was obviously too hot old for me, but that didn't keep my ovaries from exploding as he continued to hit on me even after I told him that I wasn't Spanish. He went onto tell me about how he used to live in Andalusia and how he loved it there, and I went on to tell him about my friend from Barcelona, and how he was the one who got me into football as much as I did, etc.  And as we were talking about the WC and who we want to win and who we just think should not win, Rebecca comes up. I freak out and I tell him "Oh, I have to go now, bye!" and walked off quickly. I didn't know what to do, and that was probably a really stupid move SINCE HE WAS SO GORGEOUS. hahahahahahaah.

Then, there was the game. It was great. It was fantastic. We played sloppy, but I don't care. The atmosphere was the most amazing thing I've ever felt. At least in my section. Highlights:
-Of course we were in the section where most of the Turkish fans were
-There was a guy who looked like Nicklas Bendtner with his shirt off, sunglasses, and a scarf (I wanted to take him home  and ship him to Germany for Lina)
-I love that new Nike commerical sfm
-Turkish men are even more beautiful than I remember
-55k peole were at the game
-I want to be a part of Sam's Army
-I want to learn Turkish after having it screamed in my ear for two hours
-I LOVE FOOTBALL

Of course there was so much more to that, but I can't go over every detail, it's not like I had my notebook with me to take notes like I do when I watch games at home.

But seriously, Turkish fans are the most amazing people ever. They are all kind, beautiful, and exciting. I couldn't have pictured a more perfect area to sit to watch the game, I dont' care how far from the field we were, it was beautiful where we were and the people were amazing.
I just want to slam my head against my desk right now. I just can't get over how great everything was. The people. I WILL NOT STOP SAYING HOW AMAZING PEOPLE MAKE THINGS.

POST-MATCH: We drove around Philly and saw some quick historic sites and I took a few pictures and then we went and got dinner. We weren't sure where to eat so we settled on Italian. THOSE KIOSKS ARE SO STUPID IN PHILLY JUST FYI.

SPASSO: That's where we ate and I will recommend it a thousand times over. Not only is it THE MOST AMAZING ITALIAN FOOD YOU WILL EVER HAVE CHICAS, but they are also some of the MOST hospitable people to be around if you rub them the right way. They all have accents, they are all adorable, and KFGJDFKLJGKJDFKGLJDFGLDJFG. One waitor in particular was hitting on my throughout the whole entire night. And yet again, I was asked whether or not I was Spanish <3 "SPAGNOLA?" Hahaha, he was so cute. And then another one of the waitors stopped and asked us about the game and went on about how he couldn't because he was at work meh meh meh, and then little cutie pie kept lingering around the table until he finally came over to talk to us, directing all his questions at me (yes, this sounds centric around me, but that's only because it was. Apparently I'm cool? ahahha idek), asking me about why I like Spain, and what not and when I told him it's where I want to live there he did was like "YOU WANT TO LIVE THERE?!?! You should live in Italia ;P"

But again, THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. Expensive, BUT AMAZING.
-Philly is gorgeous
-Turks are gorgeous
-Italians are gorgeous
