thoughts on journaling

i wish i would've done more journaling (as in actual written journaling) as a kid. in kindergarten we did journaling focused on a theme the teacher gave us. she'd write down whatever we told her, and we'd illustrate the story. you learn a lot about yourself now and who you were by reading those journals even if they're about your favorite dinosaur ( Read more... )

i know exactly how you feel.

i really want to start a journal again, that isn't petty or depressing but filled with life.

I. We STILL have stupid boy drama and gossip mongering. Don't front. It's
more natural than we'd like to admit.

II. "Diary" gets a bad rap because cultural experience has molded it into
a concept that is primarily associated with teenage adolescence. "Journal"
sounds too adult for half the shit I write in mine. Point is, own the
word 'cuz it certainly don't own you.

III. Zine party? I've always wanted to recreate the chaos that comes with
slapping one together in the course of a night.
