NIPPON is gonna be my new home now! :O

Massive news alert: I'M MOVING TO AOMORI, JAPAN.

And it begins!! The constant anxiety, the dread that I'm making a horrible choice, but yet, the excitement! And the happiness at more money, more respectful co-workers (they cannot be any worse than the people I currently work with (EXCEPT MS. M!)), and a LOT less students. Students who got me in trouble yesterday!!

A few girls in Ms. L's class asked me if I could write them a note so they could work in the data room with me. It was only going to be for ten minutes, and since they said their sub, Ms. S said it was fine, I wrote the note. Well 3 extra girls came in and they honestly, hand to God, WORKED. But then some lady who works with ... testing or something, I don't know, came in and yelled at them. Then requested that I come over and discuss what happened. So I explained, and Ms. S said they never asked her (uhm, ok?) yadda yadda. The testing lady wasn't mad at me. Apparently our principal views otherwise.

She hasn't talked to me yet, but when she called the girls out today (their class was on lock-down and I heard this all from Robert, who tracked me down during a bathroom break AND going to the bus) they told the principal that I was the one who told them to go in and work. And the principal's response, to their entire class:
"I'll deal with Miss Kessel."
You know what? Since I have a new job starting in 2 months, FUCK YOU. She doesn't know that, but that's such a wrong way to respond to that situation, especially in front of their class. I'M SURE MS. L WAS IN THERE TOO. Because Robert was trying to talk to me on the way to the bus, and she told him to keep moving. Not a huge deal, because there are lots of kids around, but I wondered. So I told Ms. D about my problem yesterday with Ms. L directly behind me. SHE BETTER HAVE HEARD EVERY WORD. Because that is fucking OUT OF CONTROL if she thinks I'd be that retarded.

The only nice thing to come from all of that is I'm not as torn up about leaving the kids. I wanna slug those girls in the face. Plus, all IA's are getting cut at the end of this year, so either way, I wouldn't be coming back. I've already told the kids that, and they don't seem to understand why I can't stay. And they don't like it. I'd want to tell them tomorrow, but my favorite (yet hated now, at the same time) class is still on lock-down and can't leave their rooms. I could tell them in the morning before Ms. L picks them up, but to drop a bomb like that and then bid them farewell for the rest of the day would cause chaos, especially if they saw me, even just walking by their classroom window. They'll either see my announcement on Facebook and word will spread in class that way, or I'll wait until they get to eat lunch and then I'll drop the bomb. I'll miss the boys. Especially Robert, who has "had my back" as they would say, during this stupid incident.

I'm skipping work tomorrow because a) it's a fucking GREAT day for me to do whatever I want, since I know the end of my time at John Parker is near and b) why not use up all 8 of my sick days between now and (appx) mid-March?! I've got 3 personal days, and I know for a FACT those don't get exchanged for money when you leave... so I MUST use those.
Haaaa I'm talking to my friend Tamer now, who's from Egypt, but has lived here for 8 years.... he wants to come to Japan with me. We're discussing options right now - that'll tack on a whole mess of challenges for him (visa, health care, WORK, etc) but he is a very talented soccer player. Japan likes soccer. Japan doesn't have enough foreign soccer players. He could easily play in the J-2. If he didn't move, he would have been on one of Egypt's squads. If he finds money to afford the ticket, he's coming. That's what he just told me. Hahahaha oh boy. There's no way!!

Hm, how to get everything I want to Japan? Obviously my Wii and PS3 are coming with me. I want my blackout curtains, especially if I'm living downtown. OMG CLOTHES. BLANKETS! I will NEVER leave my fleece blanket behind... that thing is the warmest blanket on the planet. I need to buy a laptop now! AND A PICTURE/VIDEO CAMERA! I NEED TO START STUDYING JAPANESE AGAIN!!!!!

OH. PEOPLE! Japan won the AFC Cup!!!!!! MASSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a very tight match and I literally went ape shit when Lee scored an impressive volley in overtime. A guy, who is completely unknown, who plays on Sanfrecce Hiroshima (a pretty bad team), executed a flawless shot to win the game. And his celebration... the archer pose that Sanfrecce players tend to do when they score. He gave a huge nod to his team... SWEET. So now Japan has qualified for the Confederations Cup in 2013... only 6 other nations will be playing in that along with Japan. Honda was the MVP of the tournament. Inter Milan was so impressed with Nagatomo's performance (like his flawless cross that Lee scored with) that they signed him for a loan period. INTER. A SOCCER GIANT OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!!

TWEET TWEET!: End of the game!!!!!:

Coach Zacch is probably the best thing to happen to Japanese soccer. I mean, Okada brought the majority of this team together, but they have dominated every game they've played since he's taken over... they HAVEN'T LOST ONCE.

future, scary, soccer, photos, i'm the shit, decisions, japan
