What are the normal service issues that iPod's come back with and why do you think this will be any better?

I'm not one of the techs, so I haven't dealt directly with any of the iPods (or other devices) sent out to service, but from what I've seen, it seems that the majority are 3 cases: The screen dies quickly (barely readable, even with contrast set to full), the touchpad stops responding, or the memory (drive?) stops working right... For shelf displays in the store, we try to use ones that had been returned from service (so the good ones are free to be sold)... One shelf display had the display issues, and another completely froze when I tried loading some demo music onto it.

Unfortunately, I don't know if (or how much) this new device will be better... as of Wednesday, we still hadn't received any in, so all I have to go by is the shelf display...
