I was reading the BBC news online, and I came across this message. I wanted to remember it:

"Yesterday, we were annoyed with Londoners and English people. London won the games and Paris lost them. And today we wake up. We realise that these little fights between old friends are for spoilt children. We are all facing a huge challenge. We have all to fight terrorism. We are all Londoners today. We all feel sad and share the pain of the one who are suffering today. Do not worry my friends, we will be with you in this fight and we will win it."

genie, i'm soooo happy to hear you're alright. i can't imagine what it must be like to actually be where it happened, but i hope things start to improve and people like those in your post script realize how incredibly lucky they are and how trivial a weekend trip is in comparison to life.

I tried iming you cause I know you're in the area thank goodness you went to classes and stuff. Sigh I feel bad for the people who died and were injured but I'm glad that you are all alright. I couldn't imagine losing you!! Ok hugs from across the pond.

Genie!!
I had completely forgot about Livejournal. I really wanted to talk to you but because of the time difference and the lack of contact information. I see from previous posts that you're having a great and interesting time (glad England is treating you well). I'm so glad you weren't caught in the disaster=)Well.. I'll talk to you later.
