Don't Drive, I'll Brake (Break?)

Dec 16, 2013 17:22

They're fighting again.
Sehun can't remember the last time they had a peaceful night, but they're both not willing to stop. Sehun is fighting for something he wants most. Jongin is fighting for what he already has. Sehun's head is hurting and bruised. The throbbing on his nose will not go away either. Jongin is panting; like a crazed animal. His eyes are full of anger.
"Jongin..." whispers Sehun, "Let's end this."
Jongin's eyes shoot up, a momentous loss of control, before he looks angry once more.
"Thank God!" he growls, slamming the door. Sehun sags. He braces the wall like a lifeline and pulls out his phone. The screen is cracked. Five years, two months and ten days- that relationship is now gone. Was all this worth it? He looks down at the page that he's on and smiles softly at the profile picture.
Yes it was.

Let's end this...let's end this...let's end this...
Jongin's eyes stay on the ceiling he's been staring at for hours. The words are on repeat like a catchy pop song that you really hate, but can't get out of your head. He wants to stop time.
But time doesn't stop.
He doesn't know when he started realising something was wrong, but he remembers it clearly when he could confirm it.
Sehun is a cheater.
Sehun cheats.
SehuncheatsSehuncheatsSehuncheatsSehuncheatsSehuncheats...
That was two years ago. And yet, he had only told Sehun he knew three months ago.
Jongin loves- loved?- him. To have only a part of Sehun was better than nothing at all. And so he grasped at him desperately, begging to be taken back as Sehun helplessly tried to cut all ties, until he broke. The scent of the other man on Sehun drove him wild, anger he didn't even know he possessed broke free, and that's when the fighting started. He hates Sehun, he tells himself, but even Jongin knows he sounds pathetic.
Because Jongin loves Sehun more than life itself.
He rushes to the other boy's bedroom.
"Sehun," he begins, "Sehun, I'm sorry."
No answer.
He knocks the door frantically, "Sehun? Sehun!"
No answer.
He bangs open the door.
The room is bare.

Sehun drives the beaten up red Ute down the highway. Shame is clear on his face as he plugs in his earphones. He calls him.
"Hello?"
"It's Sehun," he says, his eyes never once leaving the road.
"Sehun?" the boy seems panicked, "Isn't Jongin home at the moment? We shouldn't be talking."
"It's alright, I'm not at home."
"Oh...oh." Sehun loves that Luhan can understand him just like that. They met in bad circumstances, but Sehun would not change them meeting for the world.
Because Sehun loves Luhan more than life itself.
"I have an extra room for you; it's decorated just how you told me you wanted it to be," Luhan tells him quietly, "I took precautions." Sehun's heart warms and all sense of guilt is washed away. What he did to Jongin was no excuse, but being with Luhan was something he would never take back.
"Luhan?"
"Mmm?"
"I'm coming home."
And Luhan laughs that tinkling, sweet laugh as he says two words. Same words, same phrase, different tones.
"Thank God!" his voice is relieved, and warm.
Sehun doesn't feel cold anymore.
"So are you going to be giving me the best welcome ever?" asks Sehun coyly.
Luhan laughs, "I've got pepperoni pizza in the oven, 'The Hangover' DVD sitting on the couch, and chocolate cake for dessert."
Sehun really, truly loves Luhan more than any other.

Jongin can't hold back his tears and they pour down onto the couch. He grabs his phone and dials Sehun. He answers on the third ring.
"Sehun," Jongin's voice cracks.
"Jongin."
"Come back, I don't mind if you cheat on me Sehun, just come back, please?" Jongin is trembling so much he can barely hold the phone.
"I'm...I'm sorry." Sehun hangs up. Sehun is his air and he cannot live without him. He collapses onto the couch; his built body seems frail as it wracks with tears.
The bell rings.
He stands up hastily, not caring about his appearance, or the fact that he had just knocked over everything, because...Sehun...Sehun...he's back!
He opens it.
Kyungsoo gapes at him.
Reality once again kicks in and he slides down to the floor, his sobs loud and full of sorrow.

"You came in like a wrecking ball!"
Sehun slams the buttons on the radio to change channels.
Utada Hikaru's voice travels to his ears.
"...Come back, baby come back to me. Come back, I'll be everything you need..."
He changes the station quickly, his teeth grit.
But Sehun still continues to drive on.

I don't know what I wrote-I'm sorry TT.TT. I'm not great at angst okay! And I wrote this late at night when I heard Hikki's Come Back to Me which is how the cheating part and the come back part came to me... Anyway, I still hope you enjoyed it! A penny for your thoughts? Please leave a comment~ HunHan doesn't seem so popular anymore, but I haven't lost hope!! Ah, yeah, idk, bye~
