Thanks for sharing this, Mae! It made my sucky night that much better because Kristen is so much the epitome of adorable. I have to admit I got a bit teary when she was talking about VM. It's very nice to hear that she WANTS to do a movie, and even more would be okay with it coming back as a series (the odds of that are VERY slim, I think, if anyobody ever looks at the numbers when compared to the reality trash they put on in the hiatus...). I was a little worried that with everyone beating down her door so to speak for projects this year (FSM, Heroes, Lost, Gossip Girl... there's another movie she's doing that I've forgotten the title of, possibly two) that she'd get an "I'm too good for this " tude ala SMG... so that was nice

You're welcome! I'm glad I made your day a bit better. :) Yeah, I think VM will always be special for her. I like that she also admits that she didn't realize how good she got it when she was doing VM until it was gone. I don't know, it just made her more lovable to me because well, she's not perfect. Being the title character of a show must have been a lot of work but I'm glad she still thinks of it fondly despite all the hours that she had to put into it.

Oh, I wish they'd talk! It's a small world. I'm surprised if they haven't met before. I really hope Rob decides to make the movie. Although I understand why writing a VM movie is not his priority right now since he has a family and it's not a sure thing that a studio will produce it after he's done writing it.

Kristen is adorable, but sadly I don't think I trust Rob Thomas to write a VMars movie. I'd rather he just left the finale as the finale and let people take what little satisfaction they could from it.

From the interview it didn't sound like Rob would the sole or even necessarily a writer for the script. She mentioned assembling some of the other VM writers to write the script, I'd love that.

I know that S3 wasn't the best season (and rewatching S1 and S2 made me understand where the complaints were coming from) but I still have faith in Rob Thomas. And I think I'll be more worried if Rob wasn't involved in any way whatsoever in the making of a VM movie (if there's going to be one).

I just posted this on my journal! I got a little bit (read: alot) excited when I watched this. I hope it happens. It'd be fun to revisit the characters and maybe get a little bit more closure for those who need that kind of thing.

I seriously love that interview, she's adorable. I love that they keep nudging Rob, hee. But I'm all for them filming scenes in someone's basement and putting them on youtube if they can't afford to fund an entire movie!
