Just wondering...

Christmas is celbrated by or is a Christianity tradition. But your dad being Arab, well Arabs have ties with Islam in which there is no Christmas I know of. How is he so strict on everything Arab but Christmas?

Not all Arabs are Muslims. Even some Arabs who are Muslims aren't Muslims by choice; they might live in a country where the government uses religious standards as guidelines for laws, thus forcing them to practice Islam simply to remain alive and/or free. My dad is very, extremely hypocrytical and confused. He claims to be a Muslim, but constantly talks about God. He celebrates Christian holidays, such as the aforementioned Christmas, and does not belong to a mosque. Nor does he pray numerous times a day and read the Quran religiously, no pun intended. My cousin's family is the same way. They more or less forced her to move out because she is dating an American, but they used the excuses: "he is too young, he's still in college, he's just using her for her money." Later they admitted that if he were an Arab, none of that would matter. Just like when my dad said I couldn't date you because of your mom, but I know that that wasn't the real reason. Well, I think I've exhausted that answer.
