You know what is so strange is when you realize that everyone is getting older even though you don't want them to. Recently while driving down the road with C I saw my youngest shooting a scene with his dad. As we drove by C said I thought you said the ex has dark hair. My response was yes. C's response he had a lot of grey. I sat there and said ( Read more... )

I think we all have this person in our bodies who is forever in their 20's. For the most part this person is in charge. It's only until someone notices something like this that we really know how old we are. I remember one of my granddaughters telling me I had some wrinkles around my eyes, and I immediately thought, "No I don't!" Later I had to really look into the mirror and noticed that I did have them..mostly when I smile or laugh...but they are there. The other day too, Rose was saying how old she'd be when her youngest [in utero ] was in college. I just stood there thinking I would be in my 70's. Made me a little queasy, I tell ya. Think I need the 20 year old to get back in charge!

I posted on my own list that my heroes are getting older.

Robin Williamson from the Incredible String Band was in town - played a song I first listened to in 1967.

THAT sort of maths is scary.

For the record, it will be my 56th birthday next week.

Blessings

Yes that is sort of the math I'm speaking of. lol When my oldest son was around 6 yoa, he found a penny on the ground. He was thrilled when he saw the date on it. He proudly announced it was an ancient penny. I asked what the date was and he proudly said 1963! lol I told him that wasn't ancient.
