First public post in a long time.  I wonder what that means, other than indicating that I'm too lazy to switch it to Friends Only.

My final essay of the year is coming together at last!  The hardest part was of course deciding what to write about, but I have a thesis and everything now.  So I've been doing that for the past couple of days.

Cygnets! I went in search of them the other day and didn't see any. Well, I wasn't really searching... I just took a peek at the fenced off nests since I hadn't been down in a while, and I could see they weren't really nests anymore, but I didn't see any babies. I will go on another expedition!

Your cactus just made my day, and I haven't even met it. Awesome.

The cactus ... that's actually the best thing I've ever heard. I love it, especially the ducklings thing! I think we need a picture.
