Today's Wednesday. I supposedly have a staff meeting on Wednesday mornings. Every Wednesday. One week is a half team and the alternate week is a full team. tattoo: downtown Rochester @ XS. They are pricy but COMPLETELY worth the money!

leg waxing: I just got mine done for the first time about 3 weeks back and I'm still stubble free. I went to a lady named Sylvia on the reccommendation of a friend and she was FABULOUS! She's all the way out in Shelby Township, but worth the drive. Give me a call and I'll give you her number... I was amazed at how little it hurt (I thought it would be bad!)

How pricey is pricey?

pricey meaning that it might be an extra $50 or so, but they are great artists... i only paid $60 for my tattoo, but i had it done in the shadiest of places by the shadiest of men. if i didn't already know the right way to care for a tattoo, i would've had issues.

it wasn't quite like that, but the room was dimly lit :) She's an independent aestetician who works out a of salon in shelby 3 days a week. She's from the czech republic, so you know i was happy with letting a woman from "the old country" rip hair of out my girly bits. she was a gentle mistress :)

How much did Sylvia charge to rip out your hairs? And, to be a wee bit personal, did/does she do girly parts too or just legs?

I had a dodgy experience at XS, but that was years ago. I would suggest Splash of Color in e. lansing, they are incredibly clean and professional (and hey, if you steal a student directory from the dorm you can probably still get $10 off). It probably depends though on what kind of art you want done - how big, do you want something custom, etc. If you are going the large, custom route I would definately scope around websites, bme etc to see examples of the art you are going to see.

And, I know Splash is awesome, but I'm not in the mood to drive all the way to EL...I suppose it's not that far, only an hour really so it's do-able, but I was hoping to find something of that caliber at home, ya know?

I was just going to say, if I ever got over my fear of pain of getting a tattoo, I would be getting it at Splash. They did such a great job on my peircing that they have earned my loyalty.

What are you thinking of getting done?

I'm very happy with my piercings that they did too. Except last time I was there, getting a new belly button bar bell, the girl told me that my piercing is moving and sort of being pushed out by my body and I might have to take it out soon. :o( I can't imagine my stomach without it...I look weird to myself. I'll be sad if I have to take it out.

I'm going to go with Splash of Color as well. I was very happy with mine and it's not terribly expensive. Plus that means you'll be obligated to go to dinner with me when you're here. So E.L. Splash it is!

ok so I have three tattoos and 2 of them I got here in town at Excalibur. The work was great and the guy there, George is HILARIOUS and I think right up your alley. He was so distracting that you barely noticed the pain. He may be a bit much for some people, but with your arcasm I think you two would get along. Plus its in St.Clair Shores area so its not too far. I might even be persuaded to get one too!

As for waxing, I get mine done at a place called (stifle your laughter) "FINGERS" in Warren. Are you just doing bikini or are we going Brazilian?

hehehehe, Fingers....I don't think I want to wax it all off...I mean, I am turning 25, not happy about it but at the same time I don't want to be 12 again. Maybe just a line left....I think it'll mostly depend on price.

You probably want a brazilian...a regular wax still leaves a lot of hair on, but just clears away the sides so it doesn't look like spiders are crawling out of your swimsuit.
