Hmm, they made a movie out of Jhumpa Lahiri's The Namesake. Better yet it looks like it may be a decent adaption of the book. Her book of short stories, The Interpreter of Maladies, is well worth reading as well.

One of the few newspaper strips I read online is Foxtrot. Today's strip has Jason tap dancing in morse code. Whats cool is that it really is morse code!

At some point tonight while watching the Will and Grace finale I came to the conclusion that this is what Emily Brontë would have written if she were a sitcom writer.

People are raising money to get Weird Al a star on the hollywood walk of fame. They've raised almost all the money and need only $3,503.05 by the end of the month to be nominated. If that succeeds he could get his star next summer.

I got a new job today. I interviewed twice at work this week. The first one didn't pan out, probably because they gave me a test on Excel after the interview and I couldn't remember a thing. That was monday, I brushed up on Excel with an online tutorial, put my application in for another position in another department and the interview went better ( Read more... )
