So it's been almost two months exactly since I did my first post, and I haven't made much progress with getting acquainted with LJ. BUT I do have a pretty good reason. Hey!! Welcome back.

How was Kenya?? Did you enjoy it? And I am totally in awe of you taking auto-tutorial physics. Dude. I am impressed.

I fell behind in a lot of things except for BONES. Season Five is awesome. The hiatus is going to hurt. But maybe I can get caught up on other shows or at least my self-imposed deadlines for reading a number of books.

I would go over to bite_or_avoid . That is where I get a lot of my icons.

LOST is pretty great too. It may get me through the long hiatus for BONES.

Kenya was awesome. I was taking a field ecology and behavior course - there were 25 students from Cornell and Columbia and we stayed at the Mpala Research Center. We did a bunch of small research projects related to animal ecology and behavior and then learned how to write up a paper as if our "research" was to be published. We also spent a lot of time just going on drives to look for animals. So basically, it was a mix of a safari and a research course ( ... )
