i'm disinclined to follow that link, as i'm not really the type who needs conversion, one way or the other (if the bible can be taken at face value, then technically i'm already saved [see 1Timothy 4:10], and i'm already enough of a skeptic that i dont need "god doesnt exist" proofs to sway my mind). plus i dont really have all that much time.

i took a history of chinese philosophy course my last year at CU in which we studied mostly confucius' works and taoism. confucius seems a bit too tradition/family-bound, which is less fulfilling when you consider tradition a mere "husk" of faith or religion or what-have-you (as espoused by the Tao Teh Ching). I've read at least 4 different translations of the TTC, and that book has had a bigger impact on my daily life than perhaps any other (possibly surpassing the Bible). I dont know that I'd ever call myself a Taoist, but it does provide something that other pursuits have not.
