Radek woke earlier than usual. He didn't know if it was because he was restlessly waiting for Jill's mind to match her body, or if it was just that he'd gone to sleep a lot earlier the night before, hoping that that would mean the weekend would be over sooner. It was probably a bit of both

Carson wasn't quite awake yet. He groaned sleepily, throwing his arm over the other person on the bed-- who should have been Catherine.

Radek froze, looking over. "Jill?" he asked hopefully, because the alternative would be very, very awkward.

....and that was enough to wake Carson up. Because the voice wasn't Catherine's; it wasn't even female.

"....no?"

That was really, really not the answer Radek wanted. He scooted slightly from under Carson's arm, nearly falling off the bed before he stopped. "Carson?" It wasn't as if he didn't know the answer to that, but he had to ask.
