I had the day off today, and I called my mom up and asked her if she'd like to come around to a couple of thrift stores to see if we couldn't find anything to use in the wedding. That's awesome! We went to some thrift stores to get some glass platters to put our desserts on because I am having a dessert table instead of a cake. You are doing a lot of your wedding stuff yourself! dont stress yourself out! I did my invitations myself, and have had a few other projects going on too. I should make a post with all my DIY projects, Id love to see all yours when you are done too!! And thanks for the compliment on the dress, it was nothing what I had in mind and when I had only grabbed it for fun, but when I put it on I knew it was the one. =)

A dessert table sounds so cool! We're doing cupcakes and then a tiny cake that we can share and can still do a cake cutting of sorts.

My friend (who is going to be one of my bridespeople) is making my invitations. He's a graphic designer, so I'm sure he'll do them well! And then we'll print them via vistaprint because they're so cheap! When I get the final draft from him (should be soon) I will post a picture on here!

I can't wait to see what it all looks like together! I think my mom is a little skeptical of some of my choices, she keeps saying that I have to have a theme. I keep trying to tell her that my theme is rustic!

It's definitely more exciting the closer I get to the wedding. We've been engaged for a little over a year now, and there was so much I wanted to do, but no point in doing it so far from the wedding. It'd just all be sitting in my house taking up space! Now that I can actually work on the projects, it's making me so much more excited.
