I think that's a decent enough assumption, yes. If you want it badly enough, then it shouldn't be a problem.

Jack, however, might be, considering he seems to be neck-deep in his own problems. Have you had any contact with him since this ordeal?

Not at all. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get a hold of him. Not for lack of trying.

I'm not going to coerce you into going on without him, but if you haven't heard from him by the end of the week.... Well, I don't suppose he'll particularly like the idea, but delaying this for any longer is bound to make things more difficult for everyone in the long run.
