*it is tuneful; it is one of his brother's songs, and he looks up with a smile to hear her putting not-words to it* Welcome to my cottage, lady. Is your garden grown in full, now?

*a small smile to answer her laugh* We have worked for days to build it, and the wood rewards our efforts.

A soft footstep on the grass, a rustle in the trees, and long fingers with a little dried blood on them rest on Ilmarinen's arm as Mabon looks at what he's doing.

*he doesn't startle, exactly--the footstep was enough to tell him that someone, something was coming close enough to touch--but there is some faint tension in his arm beneath Mabon's fingers, and a little amusement in his voice when he realizes who it is* It is long since I have seen you.
