Who better than a daughter of the forest, whose heart is always called there in the end? She answers by singing the same tune(ful)(less) back.

A soft footstep on the grass, a rustle in the trees, and long fingers with a little dried blood on them rest on Ilmarinen's arm as Mabon looks at what he's doing.

*he doesn't startle, exactly--the footstep was enough to tell him that someone, something was coming close enough to touch--but there is some faint tension in his arm beneath Mabon's fingers, and a little amusement in his voice when he realizes who it is* It is long since I have seen you.
