I actually wrote a fantasy story based on this song...it is one of my all time favorites. The musical orchestration, that deep silky voice...wow! The story is called, by the way, "It Was A Very Good Year." It was to be included in an anthology that, somehow, never materialzed. Oh, well...

It has been covered by many artists. I think I am familiar with a version done by The Kingston Trio that used to just haunt me. Can't go wrong with Sinatra, tho
