Does Egghead like his bookie-book?

I do things because everyone else does them. That makes me cool.

Bookings (note some of these are not full-length books or plays, but short plays, short stories, or novellas)
Bold the ones you have read:

Now don't go saying "all of them" and be lame just because they're supposed classics.

Me: Huckleberry Finn, Ivan Denisovich, and the Crucible.

I actually thought Beowulf was a little lame (ofcourse we are so desensitized to these things nowadays), and Animal Farm was a very interesting portrait of communism but otherwise ended really "weirdly" with the pigs walking upright and wearing clothes... ok, fitting maybe, but troubling. I admittedly dug on 1984, though.

Ok, there's my nerd-speak conversation for the day... hope it left you as turned on as it did me.

i loved animal farm :) "all people are created equal, some are just more equal than others" i found the end to 1984 fitting but unfulfilling.

i read animal farm on the plane to vegas one year. the year before i read "fear and loathing in las vegas" on the plane to vegas, it just seemed right. the book is SOOOOOOOOOOO much better than the movie.

i loved walt whitman's leaves of grass. i quoted it in my wedding, have used excerpts to comfort in time of death, i find it beautiful and deep.

Regardless, my pitiful list of bolded in all of that comes to the grand total of 11.

Beckett, Samuel Waiting for Godot
de Cervantes, Miguel Don Quixote
Dostoyevsky, Fyodor Crime and Punishment
Dumas, Alexandre The Three Musketeers
Homer The Iliad
Huxley, Aldous Brave New World
Lee, Harper To Kill a Mockingbird
Marquez, Gabriel García One Hundred Years of Solitude
Shakespeare, William Macbeth
Shakespeare, William Romeo and Juliet
Sophocles Oedipus Rex

I feel so illiterate... Oh, well. Hm, relevance of all of this? None ^-^ *glomps* If they had listed Julius Caesar or Titus and Andronicus I might not feel so bad. Meh.
