099. Apples [100 SuJu Fic Challenge]
Title: Fate, Destiny, and Apples

Pairing: Kyuhyun x Zhou Mi
“Ouch!” Kyuhyun starts, sentence punctuated with a grimace of pain. He had plopped himself down underneath this lovely apple tree earlier with laptop in hand, finding a loophole to Leeteuk’s order. Rubbing the area on his head which had been struck with some object, he glances around, searching for the attacker. The second his eyes stray away from the flashing screen before him, the little spaceship collides into an obstacle and bursts into tiny pieces, complete with the sound effects you would expect.
Pinpointing a ruby-red fruit, he shoots it one last withering glance before returning to his gaming. “Kui Xian!” Zhou Mi’s voice jolts him from his catatonic state and once again, Kyuhyun glances at Zhou Mi wearily, finally slamming shut his laptop in defeat. “I see you’ve found my apple tree.”
“Yours?”
Zhou Mi nods eagerly. “I was once told if one of these apples mysteriously fell on two people it meant they were meant to be.” He rolls his eyes. “But who’s going to believe that?”
Kyuhyun’s eyes dart from side to side as he discreetly shoves the apple behind his back. He laughs nervously. “Yea. Okay bye.” Briskly standing up, he brushes imaginary dust off his jeans before heading toward the dorm, laptop tucked under arm.
Zhou Mi scratches his head, bewildered, before parking himself down on the grass. An apple promptly hits him on the head. “Ouch!” He grasps the object with his hand and observes it for a few seconds before he spots something else red out of the corner of his eye - and he smiles as he holds up his own apple.
