...ok, no, it's not. But I couldn't think of anything all that good. And in certain well-defined problem domains, it's true. Sadly enough.

I think that terrorism really is the new communism, in the sense that it is now what we use to label anyone who doesn't agree with our ideas politically. If you listen to conservative talk radio for an hour, how many times will hear someone labeled a terrorist, or a terrorist sympathizer, or hater of America for everything from voting to take prayer out of schools to opposing the war in Iraq? In my grandparent's day, people who had liberal viewpoints were called communists by the conservatives. These days those same sorts of people are labeled terrorists.

I can't find my cookies. I'm pretty sure the terrorists ate them.
