In progress...

Canon Mates

Heine Rammsteiner

Badou's BFF. Okay, so he's a BFF who's kicked him down stairs and threatened to soak his cigarettes in gasoline, but when the chips are down he knows that Heine won't let him die...probably. They did have a bit of a rocky patch after the Adachi battle, since it was Badou who'd helped arrange to have Heine and Kanda's plan to kill Adachi stopped, but then they ate some spicy eggs together and got things back on the up-and-up. Badou was the one who nudged Heine to act on his obvious lingering sexual tension with his partner, making him the only one in Death City to really know about the guy's...ahem relationship with a certain ill-tempered swordsman.

Giovanni Rammsteiner

Guy claims to be Heine's brother, but Badou could tell from the first day he showed up that Giovanni was the sort of creeper to watch out for. Anyway, by now he'd have to be living under a rock not to have heard something through the grape vine about Giovanni and Heine's antagonism, and even if he hadn't Heine has filled him in. Badou's not going to try to stick his nose in the middle of it, but he's keeping his eye open where Giovanni's concerned, and if he can say something to get the guy riled up, he's definitely not above having a go at it.

Luki

Kid really is every bit as crazy as she seemed on first impression. She's part of this messed up family that Heine is collecting, and in a way Badou feels kind of bad for her. She never seems to get upset by reasonable things though, and somehow every time he talks to her he winds up giving her a bit of a hard time, kind of (not that he notices the similarity) like Dave used to give him a hard time when he was a kid.

Dave Nails (dropped)

Badou's (not-so-dead-as-he-thought-he-was) brother. In the time that Dave was around, he managed to save Badou's ass from Johnathan Crane, his fear gas, and his burlap mask. But in the end, he was only in the city for a few weeks, just long enough for Badou to start to get used to the idea of having his brother back again before BREW sent him away.

Pan-Fandom

Alphonse Elric (dropped)

Badou's first meister. They originally met when he offered to aid in Al's search for a missing Ed, and their friendship was strengthened when Al helped Badou to face and accept his Shadow. Badou only learned belatedly about the empty state of Al's armor, and when he did he was absolutely on board with doing whatever he could to help him search for a way to get his body back. Al was instrumental in encouraging Badou to meet with Dave, and it was mostly because of him that Badou chose not to consume the five kishin egg souls which were subsequently buried in the Death Room. When Al was sent home, Badou had been living with him and Ed in Death City Heights. He felt the loss of both brothers keenly.

"Romano," Lovino Vargas (South Italy)

Badou started working with Romano on the factory rescue mission in Michigan. The guy's...prickly, but Badou's all right with that. He won't say it, but his gut tells him that Romano's heart is in the right place, even if he is kind of mouthy. Working with Zack Fair, they managed to rescue Suzaku from the witches' captivity. And though they're not formally a partnership, Badou wouldn't mind working with Romano again. He genuinely likes the guy.

Ludwig "Big Guy" (Germany)

Germany was actually one of the first people Badou ever met in Death City. He had matches...somewhere in his well-organized array of supplies which weren't so well-organized once Badou was done with them. Back when he still hadn't quite gotten acclimated to the whole people-who-are-countries thing, Badou told Germany that he was really the nation of "Vikingland," and largely by circumlocutions got Germany to agree to an alliance with him which, in Badou's mind, makes him as good as an official country now.

Allen Walker

For a long time Allen was just one of those people around Death City who Badou knew without much talking to. Mostly he knew about Allen second or third hand, from Heine who knew him through his partner who wasn't much fond of him. But all that changed when Allen hatched a plan for opening an entertainment hall in the city and offered Badou a chance to help him found the place. Badou hadn't been looking to go into business, but he knows better than to ignore opportunity when it comes knocking.

Kanda Yuu (no in-game interaction)

Heine's meister and uhh...ahem. Partner. It's hard to have a best friend who's so into someone and not have an opinion on them. Badou's opinion is that if he and Kanda ever got to know each other, they'd get on about as well as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. They seem to have reached a silent and mutual agreement to maintain a mutual distance on either side of Heine, though, and probably that's the best they could ever hope for anyway.
