Kurogane hates zero-G. It's really the most irritating situation to be in. Any pressure or draft sends you flying. Sometimes you can't move at all, when there's no traction. And most of your time is spent helplessly drifting. Zero-G training is his least favorite exercise, so it stands to reason that it'd be Fai's speciality. He flounders and rotates while Fai swans around effortlessly, bouncing from wall to wall, floating comfortably in midair ( ... )

Yea! Thank you. This was great, of course Fai would be completely comfortable in Zero-G and of course Kurogane would hate it, its just so them. :)

Just think of it like everything under you is the ground," Fai says, "It makes it easier."

Kurogane doesn't like that, either. "That's now how it works."

And I am always for Fai helping Kurogane to ... relax. :D

I am SO sorry I haven't been able to read this until now! And I can only skim it briefly, and I have so much to say and no time, but -

This is wondrous, and I LOVE how you intermingled Neil's memory into the story. It's just so very Neil, randomly convincing some guy that of course he's supposed to be there, why would you question that silly security guard?

Given the break-ending ep, and seeing Peter's opinion that Kate is totally screwing Neil over just made this piece so much better - because you totally got how much Neil adores Kate.

Is it bad that I can just SEE a furious Peter trying to not strangle that guard? (And oh Moz~ Moz does not get enough love.)

I'm glad you liked it -- I seem to have developed, um, a thing for Kate being a manipulative bitch. I LOVE WRITING IT OMG.

Holmes tracks the case all the way back to an old opium den, which is a lesson in how decadence ought to be done. There are red curtains draped along the walls, gilded fainting couches, some of the most honestly beautiful pipes he's ever seen. He's still got a preference for his, of course, because reliability has its place. But it's impossible not to see the allure of these creations of crystal, metal, and wood. There are dragons on them. NO NEED TO GROVEL. I wrote this today right after getting back to school (after vacation) and was in something like a black mood. Thus the dark.

I think it'd be a cool case though. Tracking down the dimension witch.
