Hi smokin_man November 20 2004, 02:02:39 UTC
I never considered that you might think of me as a "great" friend. We havent exactly gotten along under certain circumstances. I'm always open to anyone who really wants to get along. You are hard to read sometimes. Mostly because fo your pain. I see so much potential in you as a person, but without the facade you impose on others. You have to learn that you ARE truly a good person, and that others will appreciate you more if you simply let go of some things. I'd like to give it a try and know that you and I could form strong bonds over time. Not just the facade of doing so.
I'm glad you responded to this thread, and even gladder still that you are a friend.
Sincerely
Mick

Hey man, it takes a hell of a lot, and I mean a HELL of a lot more to get rid of my friendship than a few arguments and not seeing eye to eye on a few things...i am one of those that once you have earned my respect and trust, it's hard to lose....no matter how big a facade I personally have to put on so I don't hurt others. I realize that by doing so I hurt some, but all of the anger, pain and hurt over the last couple of years is something I don't and didn't want my Scarby family to feel the wrath of, so I locked it away until, well the post about the blowout between me and my ex. It all got pointed at the right people (me and her) and it came out all guns ablazing. It wasn't pretty. But, I feel better, the anger isn't there as much, and I feel like for the first time in a really long time, that I can get on with life. Yeah, I am a good person, I can agree with that, but I am not the great person I used to be, and I am a little disappointed with myself in that (must work harder at this). Right now, it is just time to take it ( ... )

No need to apologize for the book. Writing is your way of getting things out and I applaud you for it. It helps me and others to understand the man a little better. Theres no shame in that. I never suspected that I had earned respect from you and that makes me feel good as it gives me a newfound respect for YOU. See how that works?
You can be a GREAT person again. Trust me on this, but its not through accolades, but in your deeds ;)
Thank you!
Mick

Now YOU! smokin_man November 20 2004, 02:05:01 UTC
Hehehehe (no horses head in my bed yet ;) But seriously, The more I see you, the more I like you. You are the man. You have a genuine smile and an approach to people like no other. You are instantly liked because of your humanity. You don't see it, but I do, as do others. Simply put, I like having you around. Good conversation, and honest feedback no matter what the situation. I hope you wont be a stranger in the future.

Take care Bud,
Mick

This is an easy one! You are a mentor to me in so many ways. I can do things like leatherworking, shooting black-powder guns, and other such stuff that I wished my Dad had taken the time to teach me when I was younger. Alas, alcohol and physical Violence, were more important to him at the time. I am more knowledgeable about certain subjects like the Old West. I leanr something new from you everyday. Best of all, you treat me like an equal even though I feel like a tenderfoot/greenhorn lol.
Here's to more adventures in various time periods!!!
Thank you
My Friend :)

Well, here's hoping I can make it a little better. Youve always been good to me no matter what mood your in. You have some GREAT one-liners to bust open the darkest of moods. Yet another talented character actor who knows how to PLAY!! We dont do much together due to our schedules, but we'll keep on pluggin until we do. You make me smile, Ravana!
Thanks!!

Just look at that icon!!!! Its in her eyes! Happiness. A happiness and a love for life that she shares with those that she is close to. One of the things I look forward to in LJ is reading her posts. Why? Because of that infectuous humor that is injected into almost every one. Katjabee is loads of fun to be around and if you want the truth from her, she'll dole it out to ya whether good or bad.
We love havin you and yours around!! Just wish we all lived closer together so that we could do more!
*Hugs*
Mick
