accidental

I ran my car off the road, I'm not entirely sure how it happened, but it did.  one minute I was on the road, heading home, the next I was slamming into a fence and support columns.  thank God no one was there, in the way, or near me when it happened.  I just got home from the hospital and I too am fine, battered and brusied, very sore, but fine.  ( Read more... )

i will argue that calling yourself unhealthy and blaming yourself for a freak accident that fortunately resulted in no serious loss of life or limb is not the best of plans. at least until you find out if it is in fact your fault.

further, from a legal perspective, if you did black out, even if it's bcause you're unhealthy, it was unpredicctable and would not be considered your fault. it's akin to an act of god, as far as culpability goes.

i was going to say pretty much exactly what ford said, but without the legal perspective to back me up.

i'm just happy you're ok and it wasn't more serious. ::hugs::

While I don't have the legal forte to back me up like your grandpa does, I do have mom on the phone and she says it's not your fault. She says "shit happens, just don't step in it."

As per my two bits, I say you were taking the steps to get back on the right road of doing what is good for you so if it's taking you back to the right road, how can it be wrong, right?

I'm just glad to hear that you're ok. And keep us updated on how you're feeling.
