Just woke up. Passed out after it disappeared.

Spent night behind improvised fortress. After roaming my house and eating every food supply I owned and all of the soft-enough-to-chew furniture it could find/fit into its mouth, it settled in front of my fort in the living room and just STARED AT ME FOR FOUR HOURS.

Perhaps you can't get rid of it because it is not truly in your dimension. Something in another dimension can not be destroyed from this one.
