Well, the new LJ agreement had me flapping for a bit. I've signed it because it says that the new agreement doesn't apply to paid accounts, so there you go...Besides, I can't imagine anything I write would be of interest to Russian interests,any more than they are to GCHQ or Facebook data miners. Maybe my perspective on such things is overly simplistic, but my views on Gibraltar are thus:

It's closer to Spain than us, so they have more claim on it than we do.

If its citizens wish to remain ' British', they should come back to Britain!

Tbh, I can see historically why both sides lay a claim to it, I can see tactically why Spain would want it, but fair enough, the people should decide who rules them...But I don't know whether to laugh or cry when those who pay so much less tax than the average Britcit declare their utmost Britishness, and I just want to facepalm at the embarrassing jingoistic behaviour of so many.

Even close friends and a family member are shouting, 'They're doing it to provoke us!' As though the mere mention of a veto is justification for acting like a bunch of nutters! Whatever happened to Keep Calm and Carry On?
