Hello, world!

Greetings, everyone!

Allow me to introduce myself. Nicholas D. Wolfwood, at your service! I'm a priest by trade, and also a business man of sorts. Well, I'm only a businessman because I have to make money for our church, which kind of doubles as an orphanage.

Speaking of which, does anyone want to buy a portable confessional? They're cheap, and the ( Read more... )

You take care of orphans?

Yup! Our church takes them in. But I don't really work at the church much anymore... I left to get them some money, and I haven't really been back much since. A lot of stuff has happened...

Hnn. Do you have any proof the money goes to orphans? We did just meet you for the first time, after all.

Dear Lord, the people here are so suspicious!

Unfortunately, I don't have any proof to show you that the money goes to the orphans. I'm afraid you'll have to take my word for it. But it seems you're not accustomed to taking the word of anyone you don't know on anything.

You don't have to buy one. I'm not forcing you to, I'm just putting out the offer in case someone happens to want one.

A portable confessional? Not everyone here subscribes to your religion, you know. And it doesn't look as cheap as you profess it to be.

I'm not saying everyone has to buy it. Certainly not everyone has to be religious. Hell, I'm not religious half the time. As anyone who knows me will tell you, I'm a rather... unique priest.

And as for whether they're cheap or not, you're not going to buy one, so why should you care?

Pleased to meet you by the way. It's so nice to know that the people here are so damn welcoming.

But you're promoting it to a community with a Christian population of about one percent. And really? Are all the priests here 'unique'? I mean, that Howell person's hopelessly subservient to his perv of a god, Anderson goes around threatening people, Sanzo thinks everyone is an idiot and tries to shoot them... And then there was that priest I know who turned out to be a fraud. Seriously, is the profession even sacred to anyone anymore?

Yeah, but see, you're trying to sell it by saying it's cheap. So I'm asking how cheap it can get; curiousity doesn't hurt.

You're awfully welcome. :D

Well, I haven't met everyone here yet, so I wouldn't know. I do believe that everyone is unique in their own special way. The profession... well, most of the priests where I come from take their job very seriously. Maybe this community only attracts the eccentrics.

And to tell the truth, wherever I try to promote it, no one seems particularly interested, even when I tell them it's for a good cause. Unfortunately, there's not many other ways a priest can make money that's acceptable to the church.

How cheap can it get? Really, any little bit counts.

You're a very interesting person, did you know that?

Pleased to meet you, Nicholas D. Wolfwood. I am the Doctor.

It's very nice to meet you too, Doctor.

Are you the only Doctor around here? Not many people introduce themselves as "the" anything.

As far as medical doctors go, the community seems to have plenty. Same goes for you priests *grin*
But I seem to be the only one with such an extraordinary name. If that doesn't make me special, what does?

Huh. No kidding.

I've met a couple of the other priests already. They're very... interesting people. I haven't met any other doctors, though.

So is "Doctor" your name then? Not just a title or a profession?

[OOC: sorry, I just had to say that when I read your strikeout, I immediately thought, "the fact that you're a Time Lord isn't enough?" And then I started giggling madly for no particular reason. Just so you know. :D]
