CHARACTER INFORMATION-
Canon Character and Series: Tsuruya // The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
In-Game Name: Just. Tsuruya.
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Position & Ship (first and second choice for position please): Winding Way // Seaman

Appearance: Tsuruya isn’t a very normal looking one. At all. This is probably a foreshadowing for when you actually start to talk to her. First off, Tsuruya has hair touching her ankles that she leaves down and all over the place. For some reason she has no problems when it comes to tripping her. She’s just too cool for that. Her hair is also green. Bright. Green. Whether its natural or dyed, no on knows. If you ask, she’d probably laugh. Another interesting feature about her face is that she has what’s called a ‘fang’, which is basically just a tooth that’s grown a little bigger than the rest. It sometimes causes her to lisp when she talks.

She’s not very tall, probably 5’2’’ at the most, and dresses somewhat unusually. Her clothes are fashionable and look fairly well to do, but you won’t get much mention over that either.

Personality: Wow. Well, she’s loud, open, and damn near shameless. She’s argumentively about as shameless as Haruhi Suzumiya and if it’s one thing she’s not afraid to do, is speak her mind. She’ll tell you up front anything she feels you need to hear and it’ll probably be with a smile. Not to say she’s mean, she’s just honest. In all reality, she’s an extremely caring person and very fun to be around. She’s into having fun and has a tendency to break out into sudden laughter over small things. Oh and she’s naturally very hyper.

She’s enthusiastic, and headstrong, much like Haruhi (it’s a surprise they’re not related) as well as stubborn as hell. The biggest difference is, while she is shameless, she has a sense of tact and knows how to conduct herself to those she talks to in order to leave a good impression. She’s a people person all and all.

Tsuruya is someone very hard to anger. Granted, if this were to ever happen? Your days would probably be numbered.

Abilities/Weapons: Her personality. She knows how to talk to people, she knows how to get things done. She’s very likable and she probably could kick your ass if prompted. You know, in the way a girl would shatter a guy’s kneecap with her foot.

She's an astounding actress to boot. She's not just good at telling people how to act. Though, being able to do both is essential to her job.

Weaknesses: She’s human, in the simplest sense. She doesn’t have any powers or any way to defend herself other than a kick in the shins. She’ll do that though. The kicking I mean.

Also, sometimes, that stubbornness of hers will probably lead to her getting in over her head, but damned if she’d let anyone else know that.

History: Tsuruya was born to a fairly well to do family from Trewe. She is the heir of a fortune that was gained through successful trading. However, her family, despite their money, always encouraged Tsuruya to be whoever she wanted and to do all the things she could possibly do while young. She had plenty of time before she needed to take over the family head, so why tie her down?

With this always in mind, Tsuruya grew up to be the bouncing, green-haired, fun-loving firecracker we all know today.

Through school, she became interested in drama, and slowly focused on that. Eventually she became a director for school plays and found that, after graduating (from the same school Haruhi was once in) she wanted to pursue this sort of interest. Her family backed her up and she was off and about looking for work.

She eventually wound up in Kropmork for some reason, and this is where she bumped into the Winding Way’s captain. He was a little stressed over the daunting new play, and figured the extra help would be welcomed.

Elated to work for such a hugely famous troupe, Tsuruya all but tackled him.

SAMPLES-
Third Person (roleplay):

“ALL RIGHT~! LISTENS UP ALL OF YOU! MY NAME IS TSURUYA AND YOU’RE ALL GOING TO LISTENS TO ME NOW, NYORO~!” came the blasting voice from the make shift megaphone presently in the right hand of Tsuruya. She stood with her other on her hip as she eyed the currently rehearsing crew of the Winding Way.

They stopped. They stared. Tsuruya laughed. She flicked her long hair and stepped a bit more forward. “Whaaat? You didn’t just hear me? I’m the new director, Cap’n Kurts hired!”

Now, what she was seeing was disbelief. Siiigh. This was going to be a little harder. Bah, that was what made it fun! Right!? “I’m not kiddings, either! Just look at you!” She pointed a finger at one of them. He stopped and gulped. “That wasn’t emotion, that was constipation! If you want to seem like you’re suffering, nyoro~ you have to make the body feel what the face is!”

She shoved the megaphone at the actor and began to react what he was doing moments ago, but correctly. The rest of the crew awed, but appreciatively. She grinned and started laughing. “Good try, though! Here!” She snatched back her megaphone. “IT’S TIME FOR WORKS! HUSTLE! THIS PLAY IS GOING TO ROCK~! I’VE ALWAYS WANTED TO GO TO BOSTON IN THE FAAAAALLLS~~!!”

She twirled and left the stage as quickly as she came. The Winding Way truly had no idea what that was all about.
