Yes, keep your fingers crossed. They haven't turned any corners yet, but at least Jack hasn't given up. Poor Sawyer is doing his death-wish thing again, and no Jack there to save him. Stay tuned, and thanks bunches for still reading! :)

*sigh*

so beautiful and heartbreaking. The weather echos Sawyer's feeling so perfectly. Once again, I'm stricken by the descriptions. And the poor Jack, waiting, stubborn, by his phone.

my poor darlings *pets*

*hugs to you*

I think I'm kind of using the weather as a character. I'm glad you think the descriptions are powerful; that's the strenth of "write what you know," I think, it's easier to see things in your mind's eye. And yeah, poor Jack. At least he's grown enough to not be stalking Sawyer. I don't think Sawyer would take too kindly to that.

Thank you for staying with this through it all. ♥

If possible, I think this part is more heartbreaking then the previous one. If possible, I hate Margo even more for this than I do for what she did in the last chapter ( ... )

Aw, was this heartbreaking? I guess it is, because they are so disconnected from each other. The only one who is satisfied at this point is the hated Margo, though I think Jack got some satisfaction at her expense at the end. I hadn't really thought about the parallel between Sawyer and Margo, though this whole thing started with them so it makes sense. And yes, poor Sawyer, Jack has just permeated his house like a ghost. I don't think it feels like home anymore without him. And he always has to find something to get revenge on, doesn't he? I'm SO glad you're enjoying it! *hugs*

But the love Jack feels will die; has probably died already. Sawyer realizes that his desire to kill has already been fulfilled, but what he killed, was love.

You are brilliant. That is just...so heartbreaking and perfect. I love that Jack is waiting for him...just waiting. Like Sawyer did for him.

Sawyer going after the bear is such a true Sawyer moment. I could definitely see him doing that, trying to take out his frustration on anger by trying to track down a source outside himself and punishing it.

I really thought this part was fantastic and I am very much looking forward to reading more of this. It's fantastic.

Sawyer is so sure that Jack condemned him and left, and Jack is just waiting for him to figure out the truth. Not pushing, not stalking, just waiting. I think that shows that Jack, at least, has made some progress. Sawyer has made progress, too, but it's more subtle and I think he keeps backsliding a little. I'm glad you think Sawyer acted in character. His old character, true, but under that kind of stress he's bound to regress a bit. Thank you for liking this and I'm glad you want to keep reading! ♥

Oh, my heart just aches for both of them.

The details in this part are lovely, as usual.

Our poor boys, even after all the progress they've made, they still have so far to go. And both of them are broken in their own way, though Jack, being Jack, is still clinging to hope. Sawyer, on the other hand, seems to have reverted to his death wish. We just have to trust the Fates to take care of our boy.

More is on the way soon. I'm so glad you're reading. Don't leave me for Stephen King. ;)
