People can't even claim ignorance. They know deep down that the so-called "illegal aliens" are a part of our society. "Illegal immigration" is institutionalized. And now "conservatives" are getting angry at Bush for not doing anyhting about it. I mean, it is his corporate cronies that benefit from the illegally cheap labor. As if neocons had any real incentive to change the status quo.

Young, idealistic rebellion, for sure. Alexis De Toqueville was right. America was a political experiment doomed from the start.
