WHAT IS GOING ON HERE from what I can understand is that Chigusa's abilities have "evolved". Those lines over Kazuhi and Touji's face are something like a form information that Chigusa can "read" and . . . manipulate, for lack of a better word.
And this chapter confirmed that Chigusa is 1,000 years old. S-sob.

me: So with Chigusa's new powers or whatever, he can see the strings(?) or symbols or something on people like. They find Kou and he won't change back and Chigusa notices a strange symbol over the sword, so he changes part of it and Kou wakes up.
And then both Kazuhi and Touji have symbols over their faces because of their eyes, so Chigusa links them together so that they can use the third eye or something.
Rikuou: huh
me: But at the end of the chapter Rakan gathers everyone around and they're going to explain what's going on
Rikuou: I see

the scene with touji and kazuhi
kazuhi looks all sad for a moment and is then like "You did a good job, Touji! I'm proud of you. You protected, Rakan." And he like. Starts crying.
and the prince is just like "where the prophecies really my power?" because every time he had a prophecy, a halo of glowing sand would surround his head. and that sand is linked to hoshiminokoto.

me: the prince doesn't have any real memories from before rakan got involved in the story

me: and thanks to each other, rakan and chigusa have finally become "themselves"

me: and after that, chigusa reaches out for rakan's hand and is like "let's go, rakan" and in . . . thoughts (sort of) it's like, "let's go, always together, until the end"

me: and there's this part where rakan's trying to explain chigusa's new power and keeps thinking of ways to explain it using like information from tvs and electronics or computers, but it won't work so he's like "They've evolved!" and underneath it's like "[he gave up]" XD

me: I think what it is, is that the symbols that Chigusa can see are kind of like, (LOL I WAS THINKING DIGIMON) lines of information or code that he can read and from there move around and connect like he does to make kou turn back or connect kazuhi and touji
