Pop in a CD and go cruising around the dark and empty streets late at night. Trying to get lost but never quite being able to manage it. Some nights I really could just drive around for hours, listening to music and letting my mind wander. Always looking for the best view of LA from way up here.

yea id love to do that except oh yea my car is in the shop and i have to bum rides from people to get from place to place thats right.

dude you will be missed in la. no longer will i be able to see you and your dad sitting aimlessly on the freeway, or hit you up for some monsta(which we have yet to all do since their reopening) or have a wild fling in the spur of the moment after a bottle or two of blue or green at a party i call you up for. your ditching me soon and i will forever mourn the loss of another oakwoodian leaving me for school.

one of my favorite things to do is cruise the starkly lit streets at night. Recollection, retrospection, reverie all collide down the highway of my head as I fly down the road, leaving only a doppler effect of now cacophonous sounds that bleed out of the car. There's something about the physical freedom of driving that paves the way for the mental freedom to unveil itself.
