well it worked! i see them...when i was having problems this is what my cousin sent me:
First you'll want to open a photobucket account (Go to photobucket.com, click on "sign up free," you'll be able to figure it out from there) and then upload the pics you want into an album.
Open another window for your LJ so you can go back and forth between the 2 sites easily. And then when you're posting, click on rich text format. then type this but without any spaces:
< lj-cut text = "" >
(in the quotation marks you type what you want the link to say)
Once you've done that, go back to your photbucket album and copy the entire TAG of the picture you want to put in (this should show up right below the picture in the middle box). Back at your LJ page, paste the tag right after the stuff you wrote before. it should say somethin like < img src = ....>
You can put as many pics as you want, and then to end it just type:
