Alas, mine is in California, I am in Chicago, and you are in New Haven. Otherwise I would totally let you keep it. Ask Errol- he may be using it for his middle school class, but I know he kept all the books from that course.

Hi! I followed a link here from your post to a CTY message board in which you said that the guys in your music theory class were responsible for getting Tunak Tunak Tun into canon (which I discovered two minutes ago; I can't believe that), and, well, I was one of those guys. =) I think I remember you - curlyish hair, lived in PA, had a boyfriend back home? I'm not sure if you still update this blog since I don't see any posts in the last 9 months, but I had to say hi.

............wow! I totally remember you! Were you one of the people who had a birthday that summer (turned... 16?)? And you did a bunch of the choreography for that lip sync, right? Now that I see it, I actually remember your username too - you used it for email or IM or something.

What have you been up to? I ended up majoring in Classics/Latin (of all things) @ Yale, went back to CTY Carlisle as an RA for a year and a TA for two years, currently living and working in Silicon Valley.

Yup, that was me! You have a good memory (and yeah, I did turn 16). Nice to see that you went back to CTY, too - I was an RA for a year as well, but only at the Stanford site for 4th-6th graders because I submitted a last-minute application.

I graduated from Pomona College with a degree in Linguistics & Cognitive Science, and now I'm at UC San Diego getting a PhD in Psychology. Not much to report on that front - I really enjoy the whole classes/research routine, which is good since I'll be here for another 4.5 years or so.

Out of curiosity, where are you/what are you doing in the Bay Area? I still call Santa Clara home. (And by the way, if you don't want to carry on this conversation in your LJ comments, feel free to send me a message on Facebook - my last name is Kleinman.)

if you didn't get a friend invite from me, I picked the wrong Dan Kleinman...

my brother's majoring in linguistics right now - I always meant to look into it more, but I never got around to it. cool field!

I sorta miss the whole classes/school routine...

I'm actually in Santa Clara county, in Mountain View, working on Gmail (not as a programmer/engineer, though!) And though I've never been as far south on this coast as San Diego, I'll actually be coming most of the way down - to UCLA - visiting a friend in early February. funny coincidences!

not that I know the area very well yet, but where in Santa Clara? and what did you find that linked back here again?
