Last night I went to see The Day the Earth Stood Still with Liam, Bryan and their friends Hepsy and Edel (who are lovely). My opinion: meh. Hey, it's an amusing film!

Same thing happened with me and my friends at the ending. XD We just sat there being kind of stunned and confused and feeling let down.

Apparently there was at least one ending scene that got cut, one of which was repeatedly mentioned in a lot of articles and then didn't appear in the final film:

"One of the last lines in the film is from Jennifer Connelly," [Keanu] continues. "She says, 'This is our moment'. It's interesting, because it's a two-headed snake. It could mean, 'This is our moment to begin again,' or 'This is our moment to begin the end.' It's wonderful; it's alive and it resonates, and I was hoping that in a mainstream Hollywood movie, with all the resources and storytelling skills we have, this film could really provoke interesting conversations as well as be entertaining."

AND THEY CUT THAT OUT. *facepalm*
