Classes, Shopping, Diets, Avoiding Death

So, I'm back in State College for the rest of the summer...

Classes are going fine so far, but chemistry constantly stresses me out. There's so much work to do, and he assigns problems we haven't covered yet in class, and for the other stuff I'm not sure if I'm doing it right because the answers aren't the ones shown in the solution manual. Re: the diet thing? First off, I don't think you're even close to "borderline fat"! You're gorgeous, okay? You're beautiful. I think everyone's body has a natural "set point" which is the weight it will tend to hover around when you're eating "normally" and when your health is good. The problem with this kind of definition is, obviously, one person's normal is not necessarily the same as everyone else's, but the idea is pretty sound, at least in my experience ( ... )

Awww, thanks June, you're sweet *hugs*

Thanks for commenting too! I liked your novellengthcomment :P And it does make me feel a bit better. The "set point" and all that. Definitely a different way of looking at things... =)

eat bigger breakfasts within 1/2 hour of waking up. if you don't eat food within 1/2 hour of waking up, your metabolism for the rest of the day slows waaaaay down.

also, people who eat bigger breakfasts are less likely to be as hungry the rest of the day and are less likely to snack. I mean, I don't eat huge breakfasts, but if I just eat a fruit piece, I feel hungry a bit later because you aren't really eating anything with calories for your body to use as energy. so while eating super sugary things isn't good, eating things that have things in them is.

Honey firstly you need to get some much needed rest. Studies show that people lose more weight when they get a full 8 hours of rest than when they don't (seriously it was on the news this week) Secondly don't stress over it. You are gorgeous the way you are....in fact I wouldn't mind having your body type. That said once you decide you are happy with yourself the way you are you'll start losing the weight or look in the mirror one day and go WOW I'm gorgeous when did that happen? Seriously I think it's the mind tricks we play on ourselves that make us think the way we do. So be happy with who you are and things will literally fall into place. They have for me anyway, once I let it all go that is.
