I Miss Hillary

While covering the New York senator's White House bid for 18 often-exasperating months, I never imagined writing those words. But now that she's gone, I miss Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. Puzzling, infuriating, electrifying Hillary.

I miss her story: the former first lady, freighted with baggage, trying to return to the White ( Read more... )

I was never a supporter of hers, but I kinda miss her too. It was exciting to see her and Obama battle it out.

What I liked most about this article was when she wrote, "I miss having a woman in the race and the excitement so many women felt at the prospect of electing the first female president. I miss seeing those women on the rope line at Hillary's campaign events, embracing and whispering to her as though she were their long-lost girlfriend." I could see a similar situation being written but about African Americans if Obama had not gotten the nomination.

Whether Obama wins or not, this election will serve as a milestone in our history we never imagined achievable. A woman AND a black man; we truly are progressing.

I don't miss Hillary. Day after day more Obama supporters are realizing they were DUPED into voting for him over Hillary and are stuck with a bad choice in Obama and a worse choice in McCain.

Obama's 4 years in office will pretty much mirror Jimmy Carter's and those of us who saw this coming will smile and continue to say we told you so.

Obama '08 = GW Bush 2000 + Jimmy Carter '76

Agreed. I suppose I miss Hillary because I was really looking forward to her being the nominee.

But I think this reporter is saying that she actually misses the primary/caucus season. It really was the most exciting in YEARS, if not ever.

We were not "duped" into voting for Obama. McCain is Bush's clone, and although Obama isn't perfect, he's better than the alternative.

I think there are people who feel they have been duped into voting for him. Whether or not they were doesn't matter. These people are mostly democrats after all, and they, too, want to feel like they have a candidate they believe in.
